Project Management and Construction Management

Haut-Jura Regional Nature Park

Hydrological restoration of a peatland by filling in drainage ditches and installing water-tight barriers.

Work began with the removal of vegetation and the management of trees and shrubs across the entire construction site. The drainage ditches were filled in by installing 27 triple-layered panels and completely backfilling the ditches to stop water flow.

Several barriers were then installed to stop the drainage effect of the old peat extraction pits and raise the water level. In total, 45 meters of timber barriers covered with peat were installed, supplemented by 60 meters of steel sheet pile barriers also covered with peat.
